installation of drawings.....

Am very happy with these results... all pics talken in and around Darlinghurst.... trying to add to the idea of the "space" claimed by homeless people and society's talent at ignoring them

The body in space....

Busy days lately as we roll onto the end of another year.....

I am working on a new uni subject... this time i have chosen two topics.... The Body in Space and the BODY and Identity...

It is encouraged to research widely and to experiment broadly with different materials and surfaces for these drawings.
I am investigating underprivileged people who beg in the streets of sydney... and how they claim personal "space" in an impersonal city... waiting....

Here are some images I have been working on along these lines so far...

Last minute artwork

It has been a very hectic end of Study Period for the subjects that I am working on at Uni.... I am feeling quite
exhausted, especially with crazy hours spent at work on top of it all.... But i am proud to say i am still managing to produce work.. even at this late hour! Happy with the results of this one.. It is an ink drawing about the domestic
culture of routine...
Inspired by Braque, Carra, Matisse ... Still life with Bust... on a collage of Bills... envelopes, recipes, newspaper.. to depict the undercurrent of busy - ness of modern day life..... no meditative domestic routine for me!!

line it up

Sometimes when life gets a bit busy or cluttered or crazy.... lining things up can create a sense of calm....

photography....

It's something that I hope to improve at!! I have a great SLR digital camera and up until recently had no idea how to really use it... but a very patient friend.. who is a fabulous photographer with a keen interest in birds taught me a few things! I am happy with the results and looking forward to having time to practice.... it's fun looking at the world through the eyes of a camera!
