About

Its always a bit funny writing about yourself but here I go…
Basically I am a freelance artist, animator, TAFE teacher and university student. You may find that it seems like a really bizarre mix but it is my reality! I have been working in the animation industry for 27 years, with my first job at Hanna Barbera Studios in Sydney and subsequent work for Walt Disney, Energee Entertainment, Kapow Pictures and SLR Productions as well as many other smaller studios. It’s been a fun ride from traditional hand drawn animation through to working and teaching in flash. Seriously, who didn’t grow up loving cartoons as a kid? I know I did… and I get to keep working with them. It’s fun!
Along with this I have been teaching principles of animation, drawing and storyboarding in the TAFE system and at Qantm College in Sydney. I am currently also studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Visual Culture through Curtin University.  This study has challenged me as an artist and is giving me the qualifications to expand my future…. I now look at the world with new eyes and see art in the everyday, practising new ways of looking all the time!

I feel super lucky to be able to work within art and make my living from it, and to have the support of my three great  (almost grown) kids & schizophrenic cat.
